Goal of the website

The WISE-RTD webportal forwards to websites with focus on information relevant for the implementation of the European Water Framework Directive (WFD).

The linked websites contain a wide range of information such as (CIS) guidance documents, synthesis reports, reviews, experiences of projects on WFD implementation (e.g. PRB's), selections of ICT tools, methodologies and results of national and EC funded research projects (e.g. the CatchMod cluster).

The information can be in the form of guidance's, synthesis reports, experiences, ICT-tools, technologies, methodologies and projects as well as to contact persons at any level involved in the implementation and support of the WFD. Information is presented from all over Europe (and even beyond), at European, national and regional level as well as for river(sub-)basins.

Different user groups (policy makers, water managers, modellers, stakeholders, etc) are distinguished and guided by intelligent search to customized selection of available information needed to accomplish any WFD task.

The WISE-RTD webportal is permanently supported by a team of persons that respond to user questions, assist with input of information, inform registered users, maintain the system, and secure the quality of the information provided.
