The WISE-RTD Water Knowledge Portal can be used to locate considerable policy, research and industry resources that can help with water management. Intelligent keyword linking algorithms allow you to quickly and easily find policy, science and technology related information and to see the inter-relationships between them.

Below is a brief summary of the various ways in which this web portal can be used. To learn to make optimal use of this web portal you should follow one or more of our extensive eLearning modules.

Starting from the Home-page you have 2 ways to find information on the WISE-RTD web portal :

  1. Guided Search
  2. Browsing/searching through the information

 

  1. Guided Search of "Guide me as"
    • You choose the type of visitor whose jargon, or way of thinking, you are most familiar with or want to get to know:
      • Policy maker or implementer
      • Researcher or consultant
    • The system will guide you in maximum 3 clicks to
      • a list of relevant information or implementation tasks or
      • related information
    • All information in the system related to this "guided entry" is shown on the right hand side in the following order
      • Policy related information
        • Experiences
        • Guidances
        • Policies
        • Projects
      • RTD related information
        • Experiences
        • Tools
        • Guidances

        • Technologies
           
  2. Browsing / Free search
    • Simply type in one or more words and click on the "search" button
    • The results are listed in one or more pages. The most relevant information is displayed at the top.
    • When there are too many results, you can also use keywords to limit the number of results.
