AQUAFIT4USE aims at sustainable water use in industry, in making industries more independent of the supply of fresh drinking water for their production processes. The second objective aims at obtaining water qualities that are tailored to suit product and process demands and quality standards of targeted industries , in other words ‘water fit-for-use’. Answers are given to What are the right water qualities for the various processes, How can they be produced/maintained, How can they be monitored/controlled and What are the effects of using a different water quality? The four main industries addressed are: Paper, Food, Chemistry and Textile.
