New Approaches to Adaptive Water Management under Uncertainty -Case Studies of the NeWater Project -Elbe Case Study -
NeWater - Training and Dissemination Workshop (Uncertainties in Flood Protection and Water Quality Management)
The goals of the stakeholder process of the NeWater project in the Elbe basin are manifold, from participative definition of the major research issues in the basin, through collaboration on specific problems in three selected subbasins Rhin, Jizera and Malse-Rimov, to the discussion of specific topics related to NeWater objectives (IWRM, uncertainty, adaptive management) at the stakeholder workshops. The most important stakeholder workshop in the Elbe case study was the Workshop on "Perception of Uncertainty in Water Management by stakeholders and researchers" held in Prague 14-16 of May 2007. This Report is devoted to the description of the main results of this workshop.
