NeWater - Rapid appraisal of poverty, gender and health. Application to the NeWater Case studies

This document provides an introductory summary of the activities of WP2.4, addressing poverty, health and gender in the NeWater project. It provides a brief account of work that has been done in specific cases where these issues have been identified by stakeholders as issues that need to be addressed in the context of water management. These particular cases are the Orange, Nile and Amudarya basins, all of which have serious poverty problems, with gender inequalities and health problems associated with that.
