Efficient management policies for lake Como are designed and their effects evaluated through simulation and elicitation of the stakeholders' preferences. The policy design is developed according to the Participatory and Integrated Planning (PIP) procedure, and it is supported by the Multi-Objective Decision Support System TwoLe/P. Different scenarios are taken under exam to assess the effects of variations in the operating conditions of the water system (e.g. variations in the water demand from downstream irrigation districts).
