M3 - Monitoring data assessment report: Application of integrative modelling and monitoring approaches for river basin management evaluation

The report examines existing monitoring programmes in the three study partner regions (Delfland, Erft and Luxembourg) and assesses the value of their existing data for the purposes of meeting the objectives of the Water Framework Directive (WFD) and the project. Work identified several deficits in data availability linked to the following issues: (i) link between pressures and monitoring concepts; (ii) pressures related to chemical pollution; (iii) dynamics of pressure indicator occurrence; (iv) suitability for load calculation and model validation; (v) link between chemical and ecological monitoring.
