FLOOD-WISE - Meuse sub report phase 1

This subreport describes steps taken during the first phase of the FLOOD-WISE project in the Meuse river basin: PRELIMINARY FLOOD RISK ASSESSMENT First step in the working process is the development of a project team and analysis of possible stakeholders (see 1.2). Next step is a short description of the Meuse river basin characteristics and an inventory of existing practices on flood mapping in the regions Wallonia and Limburg. Finally a comparison of methods is made which results in the identification of obstacles, knowledge gaps and good practices, which will form the basis for knowledge exchange.
