EDEN - Methodological guidance on the concerted eco-development operating around the ponds and lagoons of La Narbonnaise area, France
The Guide provides a final evaluation of the approach adopted by the Life EDEN project. Life EDEN constitutes an exemplary step of eco-development. Based on a broad dialogue, it was made possible to bring together the industrial and agricultural communities on a common objective - the protection of the lagoons of the Narbonnese - and to find solutions so that each contributor reduces his polluting contributions. Life EDEN resulted in a program of about sixty measurements gathered around four intervention themes: preventive actions, curative actions, actions of valorization and actions of management. All concerned actors wish to share their experiences with the environmental managers and economical development engaging in the concerted eco-development. This is the objective of the methodological guide which details the key points for reproduction in similar fields and/or to make it transferable in other contexts.
