The AquaTest project was a preparatory study for the development of a low-cost water quality test (for E. coli, testing microbial water quality) and associated management systems for use in developing countries and in disasters/emergencies. The support action laid the foundations for a subsequent grant application to develop the water test. The project established how an appropriate water test can be developed from existing technologies. The principal delivery of this preparatory activity was therefore a carefully specified bid for further research funding based on a needs assessment and review of existing water test technology. The web link addresses therefore the follow up phase of the Aqua Test project.
