The project CLIMAWARE aims at (i) the investigation of changes in river flows and its consequences (e.g. flood frequency, drought occurrence and sectoral water uses), and the investigation of effects of climate change on the hydro-morphological conditions; (ii) the definition of uncertainties in the use of models and scenarios; (iii) the definition of adaptation strategies concerning the programmes of measures of the WFD, dam management and irrigation practices. This was achieved using three case studies: ‘Hydromorphology’, ‘Dam management’ and ‘Agricultural Water Use’.
