The handbook consists of two parts.

Technical: This is for groundwater experts. It contains detailed description of the project findings, the methods used including newly developed methods as well as the geophysical and hydraulic properties of the buried valleys.

Planning: This is for public authorities. It includes recommendations how to carry out mapping and protection of groundwater resources in connection with buried valleys and how to incorporate these aspects in sustainable spatial planning policies.
