Start date of the project:

End date of the project:
30/06/2011
Funding program:
FP6
Contract Code:
N.A.
The main objective of the project DIANE-CM is to investigate if and how flood risk awareness could be enhanced through collaborative modelling and the initiation of social learning in urban areas, and how data from hazard and vulnerability analyses and improved maps - as well as the near real time flood prediction - can be used to initiate a public dialogue. Finally DIANE-CM should improve the options of agreed measures. This process will be initiated in case studies, one in the river Alster (near Hamburg, Germany), and one in the river Roding (Redbridge near London, UK).
