CLIMAWARE - Case study2: Dam Management

For the project CLIMAWARE a case study on dam management was carried out in several reservoirs in the river Seine basin (France). The objectives were to evaluate the impact of climate change on the management of the Seine reservoirs in 2020, 2050 and 2100, the forecast of severe low-flows and design of appropriate management rules (i) short-term: adapt water rights; (ii) mid-term: adapt water management with existing infrastructure; (iii) long-term: build new reservoirs to ensure sustained low-flow in the Seine river.
