SPICOSA - Case study: Scheldt Delta (NL)

This is Case study 09 of the SPICOSA project for the Scheldt Delta. The study area is located at the south-western part of the Netherlands and the north-western part of Belgium. It is formed by three major rivers: the Scheldt, the Rhine and Meuse.

The experience relates to the application of the Systems Approach Framework (SAF), a tool in Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM). The SAF follows a sequence: system design, system formulation, system appraisal and system output.
