SPICOSA - Case study: Pertuis Charentais (FR)

This is Case study 10 of the SPICOSA project for the Pertuis Charentais. The Pertuis Charentais (40x80 km) located on the Atlantic coast. This area protected by two islands and is characterized by shallow waters (0-15 meters), intertidal mudflats, strong currents, extended wetlands and three main river discharges.

The experience relates to the application of the Systems Approach Framework (SAF), a tool in Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM). The SAF follows a sequence: system design, system formulation, system appraisal and system output.
