
WAMARIBAS - Building of the integrated model Integrated Catchment Simulator for three Italian pilot river catchments
The project aimed to demonstrate a methodology implementing water management at river basin level involving relevant stakeholders in three Italian pilot river catchments. A further objective was widening application of the Integrated Catchment Simulator (ICS) to conditions in Central and Southern Italy and other European Mediterranean regions. The document is a PowerPoint presentation summarising the results of one of the projects activities: the building of the ICS - Integrated Catchment Simulator. The ICS puts together 3 models - MOUSE for sewer system modelling; MIKE11 for river system modelling; EFOR for waste water treatment plant modelling. It connects each model in one GIS-based integrated modelling environment and allows users and regulators to evaluate the quality status of the receiving waters and to test and compare different options aimed at the abatement of pollution.
