
Analysis of the exploitation of the aquifer Menasra, Morocco
The follow-up of the piezometric evolution confronted with the water assessment of aquifer and the problems encountered by the owners, shows a significant decline. This decline and the deficit recorded constitutes a threat by invasion of sea water. This fall is due mainly to the intensive exploitation and to a lesser extent to a reduction in the natural refill generated by the pluviometric reduction recorded at the time the three last decades. This reports analysis the characterisitcs of the groundwater body in the Mnasra zone in order to initiate a local dialogue on the use and the management communes of the groundwater, for the purpose of sensitizing the various speakers on the need for the dialogue to find a compromise between the various parts concerned for the common exploitation of the resource (administration, communities, agriculture, drinking water, industry, tourism...).
