HarmoniRIB - 6.2 Uncertainty in modelling water quality in the Weisse Elster basin, Germany
The uncertainty analysis of model parameter of the WASP5 model and the investigation of input data uncertainties was carried out using a Monte-Carlo-Analysis. project. In the first step, all model parameter of the uncalibrated model were varied inside the range of literature based values. In the second step the parameters of the calibrated model were varied assuming a normal distribution with a standard deviation based on parameter confidence intervals estimated during the calibration process. In a third step the influence of the hydrodynamic parameters on the model output (model oxygen depletion, eutrophication and nutrient enrichment in the river) has been investigated. Results are presented in this chapter. (see 3.4.2 WASP5 Uncertainty analysis - p. 29 4.2.2 Parameter uncertainties - p. 43 Input data uncertainties - p. 44)
