Harmonised Techniques and Representative River Basin Data for Assessment and Use of Uncertainty Information in IWM -Potential impacts of water abstraction on the macroinvertebrates living in the river Kennet (United Kingdom), considering uncertainty in this type of data -6. Uncertainties in hydroecological model simulations for the Kennet catchment -
HarmoniRIB - 6.2 Uncertain ecologcal data and its effect in hydro-ecological modelling in the Kennet catchment, Thames basin
The sources of uncertainty in river ecology data, with a focus on macroinvertebrates, with the replication in space and time, sampling protocols and how the data are subsequently used. These uncertainties were calculated using regression weights based on the sampling standard deviation estimated from the number of taxa present in the sample. The method is able to summarise the impacts of a number of sources of variability associated with biological sampling. Results are presetend in thsi section. (see 2.4.2 Ecological data - p. 27 Effects of uncertain ecological data - p. 40 6.4 Impacts of uncertainty in ecological data - p. 48)
